In The Name of Allah Most Gracious and the Most Merciful
It is with pride and honor that I present this introductory guide to the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the College of Pharmacy - Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Girls, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein.
The field of pharmaceuticals is one of the fundamental pillars in shaping the personality of a scientifically and professionally qualified pharmacist, as it combines precise theoretical study and practical applications that give the student a deep understanding of the mechanism of action of medicines and their therapeutic and toxic effects, which enhances her ability to provide a distinguished pharmaceutical service to the community.
Our vision is to prepare highly skilled female pharmacists who are leaders in scientific research and capable of contributing effectively to the development of health and pharmaceutical services in our beloved country. We also believe that quality education, scientific research, and community engagement are the cornerstones upon which we build to achieve our mission and goals.
In the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, we strive to foster a culture of research, cultivate critical thinking, and utilize scientific and technological advancements to serve both the profession and patients. I pray to God Almighty that He grants us all success in fulfilling our noble mission of serving our nation and humanity.
