Medical and Health Services
As part of Al-Zahraa University for Women's commitment to the safety of its students and providing a safe and supportive university environment, health services are organized according to a clear and comprehensive mechanism that ensures rapid response and accurate medical procedures when needed.
First: Medical Referrals
The relevant administrative departments within the university, such as the Administrative Assistant or the Registration Department, are responsible for making official medical referrals for students when medical conditions arise that require examination or treatment. The student is then directed, by official referral, to accredited and authorized health institutions to conduct medical examinations, provide necessary treatment, and subsequently issue medical reports or sick leave certificates as required.
The accredited health institutions for referrals include:
Awn Health Center
Hospitals affiliated with the Holy Shrines of Imam Hussein and Imam Abbas
Hospitals of the Karbala Health Directorate
This is for the purpose of conducting medical examinations, providing appropriate care and treatment, and preparing officially accredited medical reports.
Second: On-Campus Emergency Medical Services
The university provides on-campus emergency medical services 24/7 to handle emergencies and sudden health issues. This service ensures rapid initial intervention and minimizes health risks until necessary medical procedures are completed or the case is referred to appropriate healthcare facilities outside the university if required.
This mechanism reflects Al-Zahraa University for Women's commitment to providing organized, reliable, and rapid healthcare, contributing to the well-being of its students and supporting their continued academic success in a safe university environment.
